Towards CSD3: Cartels of « The Clinic of object a »
Clinical Study Days 3
The Object of Psychoanalysis
June 7-8, 2008
Omaha, Nebraska
This year, throughout the world, the Members of the World Association of Psychoanalysis have chosen to examine Jacques Lacan’s invention within psychoanalysis, the?object a.? In the United States, this too will be the theme of our next Clinical Study Days, to be held in June 2008 in Omaha, Nebraska.
In preparation for the Study Days, we propose for the United States a series of cartels on « The Clinic of the object a. » We are establishing this theme to encourage work on the object a, especially on the use of this concept within clinical practice.??
We want to make clinical case presentations the heart of the upcoming Study Days, and we encourage those who would like to present a case at the Study Days to work together with colleagues on their cases, in such a way that we can use the Study Days as a way to present and discuss our work on the object a.
On a logistical note, we encourage anyone interested in forming a cartel to report their cartel to our Study Days Planning Committee to the email address at the end of the email. (Please send the names and emails of the cartel participants, including the Plus-One, the theme of work of the participants, and the name of the cartel.) We also request that cartels be declared to one of the Schools of the WAP. If you have any questions about that, please contact one of the Members of the WAP in your community or contact the Study Days Planning Committee at the email address at the end of this email.
