Date: 26th September 2009, 11.00am – 1.45pmLocation: Poznan, 27 Mostowa StreetThe members of Warsaw Circle have begun a cycle of preparatory seminars towards VIIIth Congress of the NLS in Geneva. The title of the cycle was ‘From the Imaginary Triangle to the Oedipus Triangle’. Bibliography: J.Lacan Seminar IV, Chapters 2, 3The first meeting took place in Poznan, on 26th of September 2009 and had an open character for people who were interested in attending. Among the people who attended were colleagues from Warsaw, Poznan, Wroclaw and neighbourhood of Cracow. It was lead by Janusz Kotara, who presented and opened discussion about chapters 2 and 3 from Seminar IV – La relation d’objet. It started from a discussion on the phrase ‘relation d’objet’ and debriefing of the character of three registers: Real, Symbolic and Imaginary, in Lacan’s clinic. The lecturer took out of Freud, Saussure and Levi-Strauss concepts of: signifier, signified, sign and speech. Then he went on deliberations about Lacan’s ‘beance’ in a context of a subject’s dialectic, a lost object, three registers and additionally the pleasure and reality principles. There we looked closer into a complexity of the concept of the object, taking it from mirror stage and the Other as the place of the signifier. The fruitful meeting ended with the discussion about the status of the lost object based on the three registers. Our work on following chapters of Seminar IV will be continued every month, enriched by reading of Freud’s papers and presentation of clinical examples.Text: Bożena NarzymskaTranslation: Beata Wolf ___________________
